We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead Finance end-to-end and strengthen the financial backbone of our international expansion.
Own the full finance strategy across all EU entities, including:
monthly close, consolidated reporting, FP&A, treasury, cash forecasting, tax/VAT, and external audit.
Build scalable systems & controls by maturing ERP and P2P/OTC processes.
Implement financial policies for:
revenue recognition (SaaS, hardware, services), inventory & standard costing, CapEx vs. OpEx, internal controls.
Institutionalize unit economics and cost-to-serve modeling across products (lockers, Drop, software, D&M), customers, and markets.
Drive pricing and discount governance to ensure measurable margin expansion.
Optimize payables/receivables, inventory turns, vendor terms, and financial instruments (LCs, factoring, RCF, venture debt).
Support project financing for large deployments.
Partner with the CEO on equity and debt fundraising, banking relationships, and investor/board reporting.
Manage cap table, ESOP, and compliance with debt covenants.
Ensure alignment with IFRS and Portuguese GAAP.
Oversee EU VAT/withholding, transfer pricing, insurance coverage, and contractual risk (with Legal).
Establish a strong WBR/MBR and quarterly planning cadence tied to company OKRs.
10+ years of finance leadership experience (CFO/VP Finance) in Enterprise B2B, hardware + SaaS/IoT, or operations-heavy scale-ups (€100M+ revenue).
Strong track record building FP&A and unit-economics frameworks:
standard/ABC costing, BOM & landed-cost models, margin waterfalls, LTV/CAC, cohort analysis.
Experience implementing or scaling ERP and BI stacks (NetSuite/SAP/Odoo + Power BI/Looker/Tableau).
Proven experience raising capital and managing debt facilities (venture debt, RCF, asset-backed), covenants, and investor relations.
Excellent communication and business partnering skills—comfortable from shop floor to boardroom.
Full fluency in English (written & spoken).
Exposure to IoT fleet economics:
device uptime, truck-roll reduction, parts & warranty dynamics.
Experience with EU incentives, grants, and R&D tax credits.
Background in supply chain/contract manufacturing finance and project-based deployment models.
