Business Development Spanish Speaker (Water Sector)

About the role:

We are looking for a skilled Business Developer with +5 years of experience in business growth and > 8 years in the particular sectors of water technology and/or chemical industry (sales of minerals). The role will focus on expanding our market presence locally (Southern European Ecosystem), building client relationships, and driving growth within the water sector and chemical industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in desalination and water treatment and chemical industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market share in the local market.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, innovations, and regulations.
  • Attend summits and events
  • Availability to travel once every two weeks (average)

    Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of local water treatment technologies, inorganic materials and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Closed first commercial contracts in new markets
  • Built scalable customer acquisition channels
  • Delivered measurable results (e.g., revenue targets, client count, market share growth)
  • Successfully navigated the challenges from zero to early scale (0 → 1 stage)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Proven track record in startups, and knowledge of materials or chemistry is a valued plus.
